Social Events

It wasn’t all rugby. The team went through a busy social program designed to give them a flour of what Dubai has to offer its visitors. Here are some of the activates they experienced.

• Desert Safari & Dinner
  The boys got to go on a desert safari. Whilst they were in the desert it rained. Rain in the desert is a very good omen for the local Arabs and was indeed a rare treat.
• A visit to the local tailors:
  Whilst in Dubai each member of the team got a tailor made Khandoorahs (local Arabic dress AKA Thoub) made for them. The boys all looked like Arabain Princes by the time they left.
• Wild Wadi Water Park
  One of the best Water Parks in the Middle East.
• Ski Dubai Snow Park
  Snow in the Desert? Yep that’s right and the boys got to roll around in it as well! The smiles on their faces were unforgettable.
• Dubai City Tour hosted by UAE national Wael Al-Sayegh
• Shopping: Chinamart & Satwa
• Jumeriah Grand Mosque
  We visited one of the most beautiful mosques in the city.
• Al Boom Creek Dinner Cruise
  We finished the tour off by having a lavish 4 course dinner meal cruise on the Dubai Creek. Our distinguished guests for the evening were non other than the South African Consul General Agnes Nyamande-Pitso & The South African Consul Willem Botes. We held the certificate ceremony on the boat as well.
